What is the difference between Windows hosting and Linux hosting

The way of using is the same.

You don't need Linux for a Linux hosting. It indicates the operating system of the server.

The difference between these two hostings are the scripting languages which they support: Windows Hosting supports HTML, Flash, javascript, ASP, ASP.net and Access databases. Linux Hosting supports HTML, Flash, javascript, php and MySQL databases.
